Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival and Game Drive in Amboseli

Morning:
- Arrive in Nairobi (by flight or by road) and transfer to Amboseli National Park. If you’re flying, you’ll take a 45-minute flight to the Amboseli airstrip. By road, it takes about 4-5 hours from Nairobi.
- Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your lodge or tented camp for check-in.

Afternoon:
- After lunch at your lodge, embark on your first game drive in Amboseli. This park is famous for its large elephant herds and beautiful landscape, with Mount Kilimanjaro often visible in the distance, creating a stunning backdrop for wildlife sightings.
- The game drive offers a chance to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, lions, and various bird species.

Evening:
- Return to your lodge or camp for dinner.
- Many lodges offer a cultural experience or presentations on the park’s ecosystem in the evening.
Day 2
Full Day Game Drive and Exploring Amboseli

Early Morning:
- Start your day with an early morning game drive. The animals are often more active in the early morning hours, especially predators. You may spot lions, leopards, or hyenas, and also witness the elephants moving in their herds.

- Enjoy a hearty breakfast either back at your lodge or as a picnic in the park if your safari includes a packed breakfast.

Mid-Morning / Afternoon:
- Continue exploring the park, where you'll have opportunities to see more wildlife such as wildebeests, buffaloes, and various antelope species. Keep an eye on the skies for birdwatching, as Amboseli is a great destination for bird lovers.
- Visit the Observation Hill, where you can get a panoramic view of the park and, on a clear day, Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak.
